Children & Youth Formation
Babies & Toddlers
Children are beloved by God and are welcome at all worship services and events!

In addition to being welcome in the pews, we have set aside a “Soft Space” in the front of the Church. This is a place for babies, little ones, and their grown ups to move about during worship while still getting a good view of everything that's taking place.

We also have a professionally staffed Nursery available on the second floor of the building for use during the formation hour and our main service (9:15 am - 11:45 am). For our littlest members the Nursery is a safe and stimulating place to play and learn about the love of God. Parents using the nursery often bring their little ones down to Church to receive Communion on Sunday mornings. Our church family isn’t complete without them!
Children's Formation
Preschool through Sixth Grade: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
9:15 a.m. to approximately 11:10 a.m

We desire to help our children discover & grow their relationship with God through a deep exploration of scripture and the worship of the Church. We do this together in a beautiful prayerful space, called an atrium, filled with handmade materials that allow children to ponder scripture and worship with curiosity and wonder.

Our Montessori-based formation program is called The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. It was designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of children in three age groups: Preschool and kindergarten; first through third grade; and fourth through sixth grade. Children attend atrium for two hours, and join their families in Church after the sermon to share in Holy Communion.

Youth Formation
7th through 9th Grade: Journey to Adulthood

9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Seventh through ninth grade youth gather weekly with adult mentors as a Christian community exploring the "Journey to Adulthood" curriculum. J2A encourages relational ministry and uses Bible study, prayer, rites of passage, outreach ministries and both serious and playful activities. Youth are active in worship and service at Christ Church.

10th through 12th Grade Youth

Tenth through twelfth youth gather throughout the year before and after Church for learning, service projects and social gatherings. They regularly participate in worship as Acolytes, Choir members, Ushers and Lay Readers. Youth members also participate in Diocesan events.
